Eligibility
Minimum Qualification and Marks

A Pass in H.S.C.Academic or Vocational scheme with minimum marks as stated below is required:

Academic: Maths ,Physics & Chemistry put together

Other state candidates should have 60% in the relevant subjects, irrespective of the community. Such candidates have to produce Equivalent Certificate obtained from the Director of Technical Education, Chennai.
Community Certificate
Community Certificates are to be obtained as follows:
BC/MBC-Revenue authority in the rank of Deputy Tahsildar and above.
SC - Revenue official in the rank of Deputy Tahsildar and above.
ST - Revenue Division Officer and above
Diploma Holders
For direct admission to second year B.E.,the eligibility norms are as follows:

Bsc Graduates:

Candidates should have scored 60% in aggregate with Mathematics as a subject.
NOTE:
General Info:

(i)When grade certificates are produced by the candidates, only minimum of marks for the grade in the optional subjects Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be taken into account.  

(ii)For Sc/ST candidates, a 40% in the qualifying examination will sufficient.
(iii)The candidates should have completed
the age of 17 years as on 1st July of the academic year.
