ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The department of Science and Humanities was established in the year 1985. It plays a pivotal role in fostering the fundamental principles and understanding of Mathematics and Science among the students. It aims to improve students’ communication skills in English and to inculcate human values and knowledge in the society. The faculty imparts proper guidance and motivation for the students from the first day of their joining the College. It facilitates students by providing on-demand guidance for attending various programmes, trainings, internships, publications and online courses in order to familiarize the basic concepts in Engineering and Technology. The department has well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and English with modern instruments and required software. The diverse and well qualified faculty members of the department wholeheartedly extend their greatest support for attaining the reliable growth of the students, individuals and institution. They consistently enrich themselves through other academic activities such as procuring patents, conducting webinars, conferences, presenting papers and publishing articles.

The CIVIL Graduates will,
PEO 1. Have embarked on successful careers as Civil Engineers and in related job functions in consulting, government and academic.
PEO 2. Be competent with training and coverage in selected Civil Engineering specializations so that those who are well qualified can pursue higher studies.
PEO 3. Possess a good understanding of social, environmental and ethical issues and have effective communication skills.
PEO 4. Have awareness of contemporary professional issues and support the engineering professor ession through participation in professional societies and/or educational institutions.
PEO 5. Implement solutions with safe and economical consideration for societal problems using professional knowledge.

The CIVIL Graduates will be able to
PSO 1. Able to use knowledge in various domains in Civil Engineering to provide solution, innovations and engage in life long learning for professional growth.
PSO 2. Proficient in mathematics and physical sciences and will excel in the core areas of Civil Engineering such as structural, environmental and water resources engineering.

English laboratory has been installed to enhance the LSRW skills among the students to compete in the world and also to acquire a good career. This Lab helps to develop various listening strategies to comprehend various types of Audio materials like lectures, discussions, videos, podcasts, presentations, etc. and also to build on Students’ English language skills, by engaging them in listening and speaking activities. Chemistry Laboratory
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is one of the primeval department of this institution, established in the year 1985 with the noble mission of imparting quality education across India, especially to convert rural area students as enlightened individuals.
It provides students with a practical approach towards the various techniques used in engineering application. Practical awareness is inculcated and students are trained such that their understanding and problem solving abilities can be enhanced.
Major equipments in Chemistry Lab are UV – Spectrophotometer, Digital conductivity Meters, Digital Potentiometers, Digital pH meters, Flame photometers etc.

Physics Laboratory
The physics department consists of innovative and motivated teachers for providing broad knowledge of science in all aspect to students with more efficiency and confidence. The Physics laboratory is spaciously built with fully equipped modern tools of the curriculum and syllabi of Anna University, Chennai. Special attention is given to each student by providing separate set of apparatus while performing the experiments. The lab covers over an area of 1500 square feet which can accommodate 35 students. This laboratory is well equipped with updated experiments.
